Volunteers pitch in to build new home for young athlete who lost her Olympic dream

Staff ReporterWhen Olympic hopeful Taylor Lindsay-Noel broke her neck a year ago while attempting a difficult dismount from the uneven bars during a practice session at Seneca College, her life, too, was shattered.
Since then, Taylor, now 15 and a resident of the Bloorview Kids Rehab hospital, has been struggling – without much success – to regain some movement in her paralyzed limbs.
But now the young athlete has been given a reason for renewed hope: Total strangers and several Toronto companies are helping to build her a new house in North York.
