Summer Sport Report Cards 2005. In the past few years, the agencies that fund high-performance sport in Canada have made a change to their basic philosophy. Instead of stretching the available funding until it’s thin enough to cover every sport, there has been a trend toward concentrating financial resources on sports with the greatest probability of international success. I’ve previously touched quite a bit on the winter sport Own the Podium program.
