A new website providing interesting and informative interviews about the sport of gymnastics. As this site evolves it is going to continue to increase in popularity, a site delivering the people behind the news and the sport via video. The only site problem I ran across was the time required to download what are relatively large files. Finding the balance between quality of video and file size is something I am sure will be perfected as they move forward with developing this site. All in all a fresh look and a different format as they say on their site. “GymnastTV NOT YOUR ORDINARY FLUFF PIECE”
Now let’s introduce the GymnastTV Production Crew.
Mihai Bagiu is a 1996 USA Gymnastics Olympic Team Member and Hall of Famer. Born in Romania, his family emigrated to the US in 1979 and he became a citizen in 1989. He currently resides in Littleton, Colorado with his wife and four children.
Brett Brown is a graduate of Utah State University. He has coached optional women’s artistic gymnastics for the last 11 years. He currently resides in Deer Creek, Colorado and has two sons.
The following are examples of some of the interesting shows they have so far produced.
Raj Bhavsar
Raj, a two-time World Championship team member and 2004 Olympic team alternate, chats with Mihai and Brett about gymnastics and life in general.
Dominique Moceanu and Mike Canales
You may have heard about Dominique Moceanu’s petition to compete at the recent 2006 Visa Championships and the ensuing grievance hearing that ultimately resulted in denial – but you haven’t heard her side.
Bela, Sasha, and the Roethlisbergers
Mihai and Brett caught up with none other than Mr. Gymnastics, Bela Karolyi to hear his thoughts on the new judging code. They also met with Sasha Artemev after the competition to hear from the new US men’s all-around champion. Finally, they talked with Minnesota’s First Family of gymnastics, the Roethlisbergers.
